After an entire week of sheer EXHAUSTION, I am trying to get used to having alone time again. It's incredibly liberating! I'm a horrible mother for saying this, but I'm sure all mothers understand what I'm talking about. It's insane having to take care of sick children! Especially one that vomits 3 times a day! That means laundry 3 times a day for an entire week. Then on top of it all, there's the C that also needs attention too. So when I had to take J to the doctor's, I had to drop off C at his Great-Auntie Daisy's house, and bear the screaming and hollering because he didn't want to be there. Then only to return to it later and have TWO screaming and hollering babies grabbing my legs (I just HAD to use the restroom, didn't I??). By the time it was Friday, I was ready to give it all up. Thank goodness for weekends.
Now I have until noon to do all the chores I didn't get to do last week. Like, 4 loads of laundry to fold and put away. Geez. then a bed (make that a bed and 2 cribs) to make, and what else? Oh, cancel two appointments I made for J and call the court to tell them I can't do jury duty. WHY do they even bother sending me those things? There should be an excuse box where you can check off that states you're a mother of multiples. That alone justifies why I can't show up for jury duty!
And off I go on the chores! Oh yes, and gotta go get a fruit basket for Auntie Daisy for helping me out with C too.
